Abdominal wall hernia

An abdominal wall hernia is most commonly located in the midline of the abdomen. This type of hernia is common in very slim people if they are physically very active. There are also rare cases of abdominal wall hernias located between the muscular layer. These types of hernias can easily be identified using ultrasound imaging.
